London St. Pauls Cathedral 01 Outside Full View  [1 of 11]

St. Paul’s Cathedral was initially built in 604AD, and was rebuilt in 675, 962 and 1087. Following the Reformation, the cathedral fell into disrepair. Inigo Jones began its restoration in 1633, adding a neo-classical portico. Sir Christopher Wren submitted a proposal for rebuilding, which the Fire of London in 1666 allowed to be realized. Wren’s design received approval in 1675 with construction being finished in 1710. Here is a full view of St. Paul’s Cathedral from the west, with the Bell and Lantern at the very top 111m above the church floor, and the Clock Tower to the right.
